Philly Roots
Philadelphia was a center of American textile manufacturing in the 19th century. While times have changed and most of that industry has moved overseas, Humphrys keeps the tradition alive. Our company grew up here in Philly, and has been operating within the city limits continuously. Philadelphia is in the DNA of our staff and company, and our experience weathering the changes of our industry here informs how we do business today.
Midwestern Sensibility
In 2024, Humphrys bought Gosport Manufacturing, a 90 year old textile manufacturer located in Gosport, Indiana (population 825). Friendly competitors for a long time, they joined the Humphrys team with the retirement of Gosport's last owner. Humphrys has benefited greatly from the influx of experienced craftsmen, and having a second manufacturing facility in the center of the country means faster fulfillment for many of our customers.
