When you buy a heavy duty tarp from Humphrys, it was made in our own American facilities, not sourced overseas and relabeled. We have built tarps here since 1874, across commercial, industrial, agricultural, and everyday jobs, in three core materials: polyethylene, vinyl, and canvas. Every tarp ships with brass grommets and heat-welded seams that hold up to real working conditions, in standard sizes you can buy online or custom dimensions made to fit your exact application.
Why American-Made Matters
Imported tarps are often built to undersized specs, so a cover sold as one weight can measure thinner than the label once it shows up. As a USA tarp manufacturer, we control our own materials and finishing, which means the mil, ounce, and denier ratings on our product pages are the real numbers. It also gives you a shorter supply chain, a manufacturer you can actually reach if something is not right, and tarps engineered to last rather than to hit an overseas price point.
Choosing Your Material: Poly, Vinyl, or Canvas Tarps
Polyethylene is the lightweight, water-shedding option for general-purpose covering and short to mid-term outdoor use. Vinyl is the heavy hitter: fully waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and built for industrial duty. Canvas is breathable and water-resistant, which makes it the right choice for covering equipment, lumber, or anything that needs airflow to avoid trapped moisture. Not sure which fits your job? Our tarp material comparison guide breaks all three down by application.
Working around heat, sparks, or open flame? The same three materials come fire-rated in our flame resistant tarps.
Standard Sizes or Custom Built to Order
Many of our heavy duty tarps come in standard sizes you can buy online, so if a stock dimension fits your job, ordering takes a couple of clicks. When an off-the-shelf size will not work, we fabricate to your exact measurements: oversized covers, specific grommet placement, reinforced corners, and material or color combinations you will not find on a shelf. Send us the dimensions and how you plan to use the tarp, and we will quote one made to fit.
Built for Your Industry
Contractors, truckers, farmers, and plant managers run our USA made tarps in daily service: covering loads, protecting equipment and materials, and weathering outdoor storage across job sites and yards. If you need a general-purpose heavy duty tarp and you are shopping by material, you are in the right place. If your job calls for a purpose-built cover such as a dump truck tarp, an emergency roofing tarp, or a leak diverter, our specialty tarps line is engineered for those specific applications.
Already have tarps in service? Our repair and maintenance line, including patch kits and Canvak protectant, helps you extend their life instead of replacing them.
