Humphrys has been manufacturing custom tarps in the USA since 1874. Every tarp we offer is cut, sewn, and finished at either our Gosport, Indiana, facility or our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, facility. These are working tarps built for commercial, industrial, and agricultural operations: covering loads in transit, protecting equipment and inventory on the jobsite, and shielding machinery and hay on the farm. They are engineered to outlast the thin imported covers sold at big-box stores.
Three materials anchor our tarp collection: polyethylene, vinyl, and canvas. Each is offered in standard sizes or as a custom, made-to-order tarp built to your exact dimensions and hardware. Not sure which material fits your job? Start with the quick comparison below.
| Material | Spec | Water behavior | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poly | 20 mil | Water-shedding | Economical, lightweight, general-purpose covering |
| Vinyl | 18 oz | Waterproof | Maximum durability and abrasion resistance for long-term industrial use |
| Canvas | 18 oz waxed | Water-resistant and breathable | Breathable cover that resists trapped moisture and mildew |

Heavy Duty Poly Tarps
Our 20 mil polyethylene is the lightweight, economical choice for general-purpose covering. It sheds water, resists tearing, and handles everyday jobsite and storage duty without the weight or cost of vinyl. Explore heavy duty poly tarps for lumber, equipment, and load protection.
Heavy Duty Vinyl Tarps
Our 18 oz vinyl is the most durable option, fully waterproof and built to resist abrasion, oil, and UV exposure. It is the tarp for long-term industrial use, machinery covers, and demanding outdoor conditions. See heavy duty vinyl tarps for heavy commercial and transport jobs.
Heavy Duty Canvas Tarps
Our paraffin-treated canvas is water-resistant and breathable, so it sheds rain while letting trapped moisture escape. That makes it ideal for covering equipment, lumber, and livestock feed that would mildew under a sealed tarp. Browse heavy duty canvas tarps for breathable, long-lasting protection.
